Recent matters

  • We act for a dozen RPs on their RTB, RTA, voluntary sales programmes, and shared ownership sales/staircasing offering the full conveyancing service, drafting s125 Notices, advice on additional borrowing, and drafting letters and deeds of postponement.
  • Advising an RP on the acquisition of 15 units (a mix of houses and flats) from a developer under a S106 Agreement and subsequent plot sales. The client was granting an underlease and we made amendments to HCA standard lease to ensure that on final staircasing the RP’s long leasehold interest would be transferred to the leaseholder. The leases were also tailored to ensure that the leaseholders were obliged to observe and perform the lessee’s covenants in the lease between the developer and RP. We also set up of Management Company to collect ground rent and service charges.
