Victoria is a specialist housing solicitor with over 20 years’ litigation experience.

A strong and confident advocate, Victoria delivers positive solutions on a wide range of complex and contentious housing management and tenancy enforcement matters, helping clients solve disputes, defend claims, protect residents and property, and minimise financial and reputational risk.

Her expertise includes anti-social behaviour, securing injunctions and possession proceedings, contentious disrepair, youth injunctions, mental capacity issues, cases with Equality Act considerations, and leasehold and tenancy management issues.

Victoria supports housing associations’ in-house teams on all aspects of casework, delivering a seamless service from instruction to resolution, including client-representation and advocacy, right up to trial. Victoria also provides wider strategic support, advising on best-practice approaches to housing and tenancy management in order to reduce clients’ exposure to legal challenge and risk of litigation.

A graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University, Victoria qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and was made a Senior Associate of the firm in 2012.

  • Advising an RP who had a claim against them by a tenant. At an application for specific disclosure made by the tenant against the RP, Vicky convinced the judge to rule in our favour on the application and to strike out the entire claim of its own volition. Ordinarily the court would expect you to make a formal application so it was a fantastic result for the client.
  • Advising on numerous successful injunction trials, including some of which have been against multiple defendants and have paved the way for possession proceedings.
  • Advising housing clients on securing numerous youth injunctions in the Magistrates Court.
  • Advising on contentious disrepair matters in proceeding.
  • Advising on Manchester v Finn and Sheffield v Hopkins applications.
